LUCY DRESS

Lucy is the quintessential summer dress featuring two bandeau bodice options, four interchangeable sleeve/strap designs and a voluminous three-tier gathered skirt - which in itself has infinite variation potential when you play with the number and length of each tier. The bodice front is shaped with a horizontal bust seam and bodice back options include a classic panelled back sewn into the skirt or a stand alone tie back and elasticated skirt back. Strap options include an elasticated puff sleeve, spaghetti rouleau straps, wider flat straps and frill straps.

♥️ Elisalex wears red and gold brocade; fabric from Rainbow Fabrics.
♥️ Matilda wears black viscose linen; fabric from Rainbow Fabrics.

Light - medium weight wovens will work best for this dress. Quilting cotton, cotton lawn, shirting, seersucker, lightweight linen, viscose blends, brocade, jacquard, cotton sateen will all work beautifully and offer very different looks ranging from casual day dresses to impactful evening gowns.

For the bodice lining, either use your main fabric if it is lightweight and breathable, or opt for a lightweight cotton if your main fabric is too stiff or scratchy.
